Holistic Wellness Coaching

Are you ready to get started on a journey towards a healthier, more balanced life? I’m here to guide you every step of the way, focusing on the foundational pillars of health to help you achieve your wellness goals.

You may know me as a Parent Coach for neurodiverse families, but in my personal life, I live with my own health concerns, as well as parenting a child with a neuroimmune condition. I have also found that many families I support are highly stressed or even burned out emotionally and physically which makes it incredibly difficult, or even impossible, to be the parents they want to be.  This constant stress leads to issues with physical well-being, digestion, sleep and accessing their community. As a former burned out caregiver, I have found a passion for helping individuals discover their full potential through holistic, foundational health practices. My approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Together, we will create a personalized wellness plan that honors your unique journey and empowers you to live your best life.

My Approach
At the heart of my coaching philosophy are the foundations of health: nutrient-dense diet based on a variety of whole foods, restorative sleep, stress management including purposeful movement and access to supportive community, effective digestion and blood sugar regulation. Here’s how we’ll integrate these pillars into your wellness journey:

Nutrient-Dense Diet & Blood Sugar Regulation
Fueling your body with the right nutrients is essential for overall health. We’ll work together to develop a sustainable eating plan that nourishes you from the inside out, focusing on whole foods that support your individual needs and lifestyle. Eating in a way that supports your body's needs also helps maintain stable blood sugar levels which reduces stress on the body and supports internal rhythms like sleep, digestion and overall wellness.   Worried about a major overhaul? Don't be!  We will go at whatever pace feels comfortable for you.

Restorative Sleep
Quality sleep is vital for physical and mental health. We’ll explore strategies to enhance your sleep hygiene, ensuring you get the restorative rest you need to thrive. Sleep processes are not super well understood, but we do know that sleep is incredibly important to our wellness.  Oftentimes, sleep is a great place to start making small changes!

Stress Management

Life can be overwhelming, especially as a caregiver, but managing stress is crucial for maintaining balance. I’ll introduce you to effective stress-reduction techniques, such as mindfulness, meditation, purposeful movement and breathing exercises, helping you stay calm and centered. Sometimes as caregivers our minds and bodies are in a constant state of alertness and we feel isolated and alone.  This is not a good place to be long term and has serious ramifications if we don't address the stress levels.  Constantly being in a fight/flight/freeze state means that we aren't sleeping well, we aren't digesting well and those things mean that we may have nutrient deficiencies, problems with our waste management systems, creating toxic overload that leads to high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc. We will also discuss the importance of community and how to build one that is supportive for you and your family.

Effective Digestion
By now most of us have heard about the gut-brain connection and how we are finally coming to understand how important gut health is.  A healthy gut micro-biome and properly functioning digestion is arguably the most important foundation of health.  If our bodies are not able to get the nutrients, vitamins, minerals out of the foods we are eating, none of the other functions of life can be sustained.  All of the foundations are interconnected though, so they are all important to each other!  If we don't sleep well and we are stressed, this affects our digestion. On the flip side, if we don't eat well, we may not sleep well and that can cause us stress which will effect digestion again later down the road.  What we eat truly matters.  If you don't put the right gas in a vehicle, it won't run, the same is true for our bodies.  Our food can either be our medicine or it can be poison.
